They bring up a number of reasons: First, the global recession still lingers, making it difficult for some to travel to the Philippines to attend. Second, in the wake of recent natural calamities in the Philippines, namely Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng, the country is still reeling and it is not the time for revelry. Third, December is peak season for travel hence everything goes up in price. So in order to give all members of the family a chance to express their feelings kindly do so by responding or emailing to this address. The Committee will meet most likely on October 18, 2009 in order to make a decision on this matter. All opinions will be considered and taken up at that meeting. Of course, we will all have to abide by whatever is decided then.
