The Escaño coat of arms [escudo].


Lineage originating from Aragon, particularly Escanilla, of the judicial zone of Boltaqa in Huesca. Some branches of the family settled in Castille, Cataluqa, Valencia, and Andalucia. Some also settled in the American continent where they founded important settlements. They served honorably on repeated occasions in the military forces of Calatrava, Montesa, Carlos III and St. John of Jerusalem.

Their coat of Arms:
A blue field, a golden wall, crested with an armor and swords.

Linaje originario de Aragon, del lugar de Escanilla, partido judicial de Boltaqa in Huesca. Una de sus ramas paso a Castilla, Cataluqa, Valencia y Andalucia, pasando en tiempos de la colonizacion al Continente Americano, donde formaron importantes casas solares. Probaron en repetidas ocasiones su nobleza en las Ordenes Militares de Calatrava, Montesa, Carlos III y San Juan de Jerusalen.
